The Cuisine of EL SALVADOR

How important is food generally to the people in your country and why? It is very important because they rely on those foods to live.          It’s very easy to make and it’s not very hard.

What are the major components of my country's cuisine that show up in lots of dishes? They use mostly tortilla, beans, cheese, meat, corn, etc.

Argentinian Cuisine por Kimora B y Cordarious E

Argentinian Cuisine

In my studies of Argentinian food I have seen over and over the word” beef”. Mostly everything they eat in Argentina is beef or steak. Back in the 19th century they made eating beef a tradition. Argentinians ate the traditional beef in many ways, sometimes they would roast it on an open fire and other times they would eat bife a cabllo (beef on a horseback). They also eat stuff like corn and beans. They use their harvest as sides with their meals.

El Flamenco

The second night we were in Madrid we went to a very small flamenco. I have shared with some of you a little bit about the art form of Flamenco music and dance. Check the discussion pages on your independent learning pages to participate in a discussion about el flamenco.

El Plaza Mayor

We finally made it to Madrid. Our flight was 8 and a half hours long! As soon as we arrived in Madrid, even before we settled in to our hostel, we ended up in the Plaza Mayor. This centerpoint for Madrid life was constructed in 1617 . . . 394 years ago! You will find a Plaza Mayor in the historic center of almost any Spanish city you visit and in most Latin American towns as well. People gather in the Plaza to meet, hang out, dine, and enjoy their city. On this beautiful day in Madrid there were lots of people out including many street performers and families.
